best dressed: heritage ranch gala

Heritage Ranch is a Christian children’s home that serves boys and girls ages 13-17 in the midst of personal or family crisis. The nonprofit organization’s fourth annual fundraising gala was held last night at the Renaissance Hotel, which I covered for work. It was fabulous! The Renaissance Ballroom is one of my favorite venues in town and the steering committee did a great job on the event layout. The guests that were trying to enjoy food and drink didn’t feel like they were bumping into the guests that were trying to check out the silent auction items and vice versa. Anyway, jewel-toned dresses were everywhere! It was great to see these Capitol City chicas embrace on-trend colors like fuschia, turquoise, green and amethyst. Check out their photos below…

And while Lauren Wheeler may not be wearing jewel tones, I still loved her outfit. The black, wide-legged jumpsuit is super trendy and I love that she paired it with understated jewelry, red lipstick and turquoise pumps. The pumps are from Elektra Shoes in Mandeville (Lauren wanted me to specify).

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
